We are seeking an experienced Production Department Manager to work at our West Chicago, IL facility. Previous experience within the Ink industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

    Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity & flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs & maintaining current quality standards

  • Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping

  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

  • Encourage a trusting relationship within workgroup and promote cross-functionality between all departments

  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targetsto ensure effective return on assets

  • Stay up-to-date with latest production management best practices and concepts

  • Commitment/Involvement in the (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance System and Processes

  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime

  • Address employees' issues or grievances

Qualifications (Skills - Education - Experience)


  • Committed to plant safety procedures

  • Knowledge of industry and facets of industry

  • Proven Managerial Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Associate degree from a college or university; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

  • Knowledge of industry and facets of industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications Requested or Helpful:


  • Proficient in Spanish, Polish, or sign language

  • Manufacturing Program Planning and Coordination

  • UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge

  • Have worked in a production or manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Inventory Control

  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and ISO culture

  • SAP Experience
