Manage and coordinate entire payroll function for assigned payroll groups and provide backup for other payroll groups. Includes obtaining payroll information from field locations and input of data obtained into the ADP payroll system, reconciliation and balancing of data provided, review of data for propriety and reasonableness and resolving any discrepancies prior to submission for processing. Review of reports from ADP and processing of any needed changes prior to finalization of payroll. Submission of information to ADP for processing.
Serves as main payroll liaison for assigned locations. Responsible for insuring that needed payroll data is received from the field locations on a timely basis. Also serves as primary contact with HR and Field management for all payroll information and any related issues.
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, local and union regulations and requirements by keeping current on existing and new regulations, adhering to those requirements and advising management of all issues and actions needed to ensure compliance.
Review all employee expense reports and accounts payable invoices to ensure compliance with company policy and to ensure proper documentation. Notify Program Management regarding any issues or discrepancies and resolve prior to payment. Process weekly accounts payable.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all personnel within the organization. Maintain confidentiality of all information.
Support management of the Finance and Operations Department in special projects, contract implementation and other endeavors.
Effectively execute other responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
College Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance
Comprehensive understanding of payroll and all associated Federal and State regulations
Minimum 2 years of experience in ADP payroll processing
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in another payroll Software, if not ADP payroll, i.e. Paylocity or Paycom.
Payroll implementation experience
Minimum 2 years of experience working in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Minimum 2 years of experience working in Microsoft Great Plains
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in another Accounting Software, if not Great Plains, i.e. Sage, FreshBooks or Blackline
Minimum 5 years of experience processing large volume multi-state and union payrolls
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
