This position is responsible for the hiring, orientation, training, supervision and administrative functions of the Corporate Centralized Staffing Office.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of Supervisor, Centralized Staffing Officeat Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

    Hires, trains and supports Staffing Associates.

    • Utilizes and documents employees progress on the new employee checklist

    • Coordinates training and reviews issues/progress with director


  • Supervises Corporate Staffing Associates

    • Review and supervises work performance, provides coaching and documents discipline issues

    • Completes performance evaluations.



  • Schedules Staffing Associates ensuring adequate staffing coverage
    • in the event of coverage issue will fill in to cover opening


  • Takes a proactive role in facilitating the smooth operation of the Centralized Staffing office.
    • Regularly reviews office procedures and implements revisions as appropriate.


  • Conducts Monthly Staff meetings with the Staffing Coordinators

    • Creates schedule of Meetings

    • Creates Agenda

    • Conducts Meetings

    • Follows up on issues for team members

    • Documents Meeting Minutes.



  • Responsible for submitting Department of Health staffing ratios via State Website monthly for BMC, JSUMC, OMC, RMC AND SOMC.

  • Maintains office supplies and equipment.

    • Printers and fax machine are checked, and paper filled as needed.

    • Toner cartridges are changed as needed.

    • Department forms are replenished daily.



  • Office and work area are kept neat and clean.

  • Files hospital and department records in appropriate binders.

  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

  • Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes, and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 1 hour a day.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:


  • Some undergraduate college

  • Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel,

  • Prior supervisory experience
