An exciting opportunity has just opened for a compassionate and experienced Nursing Director to lead this outstanding Women’s and Children’s Services department. Lead an impressive team of dedicated nurses in one of Southern California’s most technologically advanced medical centers.

A fulfilling role awaits the new Women and Children’s Administrative Nursing Director at this respected hospital. You’ll take Senior Unit Leadership in one of Orange County’s leading women’s services line and family birthing centers. Touting an impressive patient safety rating, multiple Center of Excellence ratings, and radiologic / mammographic accreditations, this 200-bed medical center is a trusted partner in the community. 

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Nursing Director will lead a distinguished team of Obstetric Nurse Managers, Labor and Delivery Supervisors, Antepartum and Postpartum Registered Nurses, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurses, and Outpatient / Clinic-based Nurses. A key part of this leadership will be establishing and supporting education programs, mentoring the next generation of Nurse Leaders, and spearheading a continued focus on nursing quality and patient satisfaction for a large service line that includes:

• A 15-bed high-acuity NICU that sees some of Southern California’s most fragile citizens


• A Labor and Deliver Unit with 20+ suites which offers various modes of natural birth


• A 30-bed Mother/Baby Unit that’s focusing on improving Skin-to-Skin time postpartum

An important facet of the Director overseeing this busy service line, will be guiding the Administrative and Clinical Strategy of Women’s and Children’s Services. This includes establishing improvement plans, actively managing the various units’ budgets, and growing the serves lines through consistent communication and collaboration with other healthcare leaders.
