Quality Inspector at ACS Group in New Berlin, Wisconsin

Job Description:

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.
 
Manufacturing facilities are located in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located Suzhou, China to handle the needs of the Asian market.
 

We are looking to add a first shift Quality Inspector to our team in New Berlin, WI. This position would be a direct hire and would likely start out between $20-$22 per hour. 

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Process returned product (RMAs)
  
  
  • Verify State of Product
  
  
  • Work with stockroom personnel to stock conforming returned material
  
  


• Process DMRs (Discrepant Material Report)
  
  
  
  • Determine final disposition of product
  
  
  • Interact with Buyers/Suppliers to carry out dispositions
  
  
  • Create Supplier Corrective Actions for discrepant material
  
  
  • Request Rework Orders be created for items that need rework to conform to part specifications.
  
  


• ISO Internal Audits


• Perform inspection of components that are considered to be non-conforming


• Inspect final product to ensure it meets the requirements of specification and specific sales order.


• Ensure form, fit, and function of equipment is as designed


• Inspect log and record inspection results for manufactured, sub-contract and rebuild components and determine disposition


• Inspect, as necessary, any incoming purchased items/machines and complete inspection reports, determine disposition and complete necessary transactions in Avante


• Prioritize work


• Maintain organization and cleanliness in department


• Perform inspection of components that are considered to be non-conforming


• Work with other departments within the organization to evaluate discrepancies


• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or 3-5 years’ experience in a Quality Inspection role


• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret precision blueprints, specifications, and written instructions to determine the form, fit and function of parts


• ISO Auditing Experience


• Familiarity with ISO Quality System requirements


• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs


• Knowledge of MRP systems


• Self-managed and proactive


• Good organizational skills


• Basic math skills


• Detail oriented


• Team player
