Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking motivated Warehouse Associate I - 3rd shifts - Aftermarket in Valley City, Ohio, 20miles southwest of Cleveland.
The Warehouse Associate I could be responsible for some or all of the tasks found below. This person builds boxes and packs parts to produce complete units within specified time allowances according to defined operating procedures. The individual could be responsible for the preparation and shipment of customer deliveries.
Tasks (Description of main tasks):
Pick product as directed by SAP EWM WP2
Package and label parts per customer instructions, ensuring documentation is accurate
Maintain customer order progress through SAP EWM (Warehouse management system)
Responsible for processing orders or packing products per KPI (Key Performance Indicators) requirements
Clean assigned areas daily and abide by 5S standards
Maintain productivity standards and perform production order accuracy while exhibiting cooperation and communication skills
Perform self-inspections while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
Know and understand the specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contributes to the achievement of the quality objectives
Receive production order requirements from boxing lead and complete orders as required by production standards
Prepare incoming skids by cutting open cases, removing trash and making case boxes
Inspect parts for quality defects according to current quality standards
Service outbound areas by getting skids and putting back extra boxes
Continuously monitor order quantity for accuracy and notify lead of discrepancies

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude (SAP)
Ability to pay significant attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to function as a team member in a group environment, and communicate with all levels of the department and organization
Ability to lift, bend, twist, and move up to 60 lbs. repetitively,
Use team lift approach as a temporary measure for heavy or bulky objects
Dexterity to assemble component parts and boxes
Previous warehouse and material handling experience
Conduct yourself in a professional manner
Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
