We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Cutting Edge facility to oversee plant operations located in the Atlanta Metro area. The scope includes EHS, quality, maintenance, housekeeping, manufacturing and supervision of the day and shift teams. The role will also lead the emergency response team.

Key responsibilities:

• Support and drive Lonza’s “Vision Zero” EHS strategy.




• Lead safety, housekeeping inspections and ensure high standards.




• Serve as Incident Controller if / as required in any emergency situation.




• Ensure that the production plan is delivered, resources allocated and processes managed n the most cost effective manner.




• Ensure daily production schedule is met.




• Coordinate all maintenance activities and ensure the work force headcount is aligned to meet the workload..




• Lead daily production meeting – provide full update on plant status.




• Ensure full and clear shift changeover / handover.




• Performance management – ensure compliance with relevant Company policy and procedure taking appropriate action if / when required. 




• Track attendance and daily update of the timekeeping system.




• Oversee new hire training plus ongoing training / competence of existing employees.

Key requirements:

• Preferred area of study:  HS grad or GED required




• Associates Degree in a technical field preferred




• 5-10+ years experience in a manufacturing plant, Chemical experience preferred




• 5+ years of experience as a supervisor
