Job Description:

The Senior Active Directory Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft & Azure Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft & Azure Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Produce global enterprise-level designs for secure and robust Active Directory and Identity systems for global initiatives, leading projects through implementation via collaboration with all IT, security, and support teams.


• Apply industry standards (e.g., NIST) and best practices to the directory services to achieve the highest integrity and protection level.


• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.


• Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.


• Identify areas for improvement and maturation of existing processes and procedures by leveraging scripting and automation.


• Keep abreast of new market developments, learnings and practices.


• Demonstrate continuous improvement.


• Serves as the third line of escalation support for domain and identity technology issues that initial support teams cannot resolve.


• Identify opportunities and improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.


• Mentor and train others as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise Active Directory environment.


• Expert knowledge in the following areas: Active Directory (AD), Windows Server & Workstation Operating Systems, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Systems (DNS).


• Working knowledge on UNIX, Linux, Mac OS, Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Azure AD and AWS IAM.


• Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.


• The role requires significant interaction with many different teams across a global company.


• Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.


• Desired Certification(s): MCSA: Windows Server 2016, MCSA: Windows Server 2012 or MCSE: Core Infrastructure.
