Provides administrative and clerical assistance for Maintenace Dept by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create vendor and standard repair orders. Process approvals and issue purchase orders. Review repair orders for accuracy.
Keeps record of repairs and other services performed from maintenance vendors. Records, traces, and enters information on company computer system as directed. Makes inquiries from computer system. Helps coordinate maintenance activities as directed. Operates other simple business machines.
Maintains company equipment records in compliance with company policy, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulatory requirements. Inputs information into company equipment control system and maintains other records as required.
Parts inventory management, including parts ordering, creating purchase orders, receiving parts, inventory parts setup, inventory count management, new part research and creation.
Responsible for equipment setup detail in company software to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Manage parts and equipment warranty repair orders, reviews accuracy and processing claims and monitor potential part warranties.
Skilled Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Complies with all company safety policies, including use of pretective equipment and Fit for Work.
Files, copies or otherwise handles correspondence and other records as directed. Compiles and types statistical reports. Answers telephones and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate person.
Provides miscellaneous assistance to supervisors and other terminal personnel as required. May assist is special projects as requested.
Experience in TMT/Parts handling system is a plus.
Dependable and consistent attendance required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to work with others.
Must be able to type (keyboard) 50 wpm
Position requires ability to write and use a keyboard for extended periods. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods. Must be able to conduct telephone communication.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
