Nutrition storekeeper is responsible for maintaining hospital food service inventory, ensuring compliance with storage regulations; record keeping requirements and product specifications in order that the Nutrition Department has sufficient quantities and quality in basic foodstuffs.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: High school diploma/GED or comparable training and experience which provides skills to perform the job tasks competently
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: Knowledge of stockroom procedures, including purchasing and receiving practices. Knowledge of food storage methods and practices. Ability to perform basic arithmetic
Preferred: Cook experience
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Experience in purchasing or comparable training and experience which provides skills to perform the job tasks competently
