Government Contracts Coordinator at Bio-Rad Laboratories in benicia, California

Job Description:

Bio-Rad Laboratories is looking for Government Contracts Coordinator with experience in government contracts administration and/or the RFP/RFB process to join our team. The candidate will provide support to our Sales team, be responsible for contracts price administration, data compilation for complex reports, and the processing of competitive bids. This position is required to work with a variety of departments across Bio-Rad, including Order Management, Corporate Legal, Sales and Marketing.

The ideal candidate will take initiative when appropriate, have sound judgment, and be a participant and proponent of team work. Flexibility and adaptability are a must in our growing industry as we strive to continually improve our customers' experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to requests for bids, contracts and quotes, ensuring terms and conditions are consistent with Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Financial and Corporate guidelines.


• Ensure complete accuracy and on-time submission of all RFP/RFB solicitations by the opening deadlines.


• Manage and maintain the life cycle of assigned contracts.


• Initiate renewal and termination of contracts.


• Set-up and maintenance of customer specific pricing and/or discounts in ERP system.


• Investigate and resolve contract related price discrepancies and any other contract related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.


• At least five years of Customer Service or Sales Support experience.


• At least three years of experience in government and/or commercial contracts administration, which includes the drafting of complex contracts.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.


• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.


• Functional knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.com is a plus.
