What you will do

We have an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and growth-oriented Plant Production Control Supervisor at our 1M+ square foot continuous flow facility in Norman, OK.

The Plant Production Control Supervisor oversees all production control activities and provides input to assembly and/or fabrication schedules such that customer commitment dates are met and production is scheduled in an efficient manner.  Oversee communications relating to orders, MRP functions/maintenance, and paperwork processing. Interacts with customer service when necessary regarding production date gaps or QC hold situations.

How you will do it

• Supervises production control functions and staff.   


• Utilizes manufacturing systems such as SAP & MRP.


• Reviews and analyzes assembly and/or machine loading levels and production dates with distribution for the duration of the planning horizon.  Plans production based on published lead times and customer commitment dates.


• Maintains production information for purpose of manpower planning.


• Investigate material discrepancies.


• Ensures accurate production reporting and an accurate plan.


• Expedites high priority jobs and report on their plan.


• Communicates with production schedulers of NPI and Engineering Changes.  


• Reviews incoming orders for accuracy and adherence to engineering/production guidelines. Place orders “on hold” when guidelines are not met.  Communicates with customer service, marketing and sales to gather information required for order to meet guidelines.


• Reviews revisions and administer charges as required.  In addition, reviews delivery impact with regard to plant loading and customer requirements.


• Processes Backflush/COGI errors related to production.


• Facilitates annual Physical Inventory coordination with schedulers and plant.

What we look for

Required:

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• A minimum of five (5) experience working as a Production Control Supervisor.


• Knowledge and understanding of modern planning – techniques, manual and automated supporting systems, product line and structure.  


• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Normal mechanical and analytical ability is needed as well as good communication skills.  

Preferred:

• SAP experience.


• Lean Manufacturing experience.
