About This Position

The Outbound Manager directs OutboundOperations (Bulk / KCN / SecurePak) to ensure accurate and timely picking/shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency. Ensure effective coaching methods throughout theoutboundoperations while maintaining all company policies and procedures.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
    Respond to customer service inquiries
  • Manage the open order report, ensuring that this report is kept current

  • Prioritize pick tickets according to requested ship dates, cancel dates and required customer satisfaction levels

  • Ensure that picking and shipping areas are kept in a neat and organized fashion

  • Participate in the development of procedures that will improve and maintain picking and shipping accuracy

  • Develop best practices for picking, scanning and shipping

  • Assist in maintaining an accurate picking zone by monitoring product usage and recommending changes to the picking area

  • Manage the back order report and ensure that all back orders are shipped as product becomes available

  • Determine staffing requirements by analyzing the average number of cartons received per day and the number of cartons that can be processed /day per person. Communicate those needs to the Distribution Center Manager

What You'll Need


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Ability to use various software programs including, but not limited to Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook


  • Knowledge in Quality Procedures


  • Basic math and reading skills required


  • Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others


  • Valid driver's license


  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) Company or Facility background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screening
