Job Summary


In the role of Foreign Exchange Treasury Manager, you are part of the Treasury team and will report directly to the Treasury Director. You will utilize your leadership and operational competencies to manage foreign currency risk for a multi-program hedge portfolio (cash flow & balance sheet). This role will not only have traditional foreign exchange responsibilities, but will also be responsible for the evolution and enhancements of existing processes. This role will be proactive with the identification and elimination of inefficiencies; a non-stop focus on process improvements is expected. In support of your mission, you will proactively work with Tax, Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and outside partners.

Key activities and responsibilities

* Negotiate and enter into competitive trades for the purchase and sale of foreign currencies on both a spot and forward basis. Maintain company records of all currency purchases and ensure communication of relevant information to internal parties.

* Analyze FX forecasts and results and optimize hedging costs, hedge ratios, and hedge structures.

* Propose strategies to leadership, with the goal of reducing the Company's risk exposure to changes in foreign currency movements.

* Provide periodic training to internal cross-functional business partners to improve forecasting accuracy & reduce hedging risk.

* Proactively monitor foreign currency exchange rates and other exposures relevant to the Company and its subsidiaries.

* Build and sustain relationships with foreign currency to stay on top of developing trends and economic activities impacting the business.

* Ensure company compliance with our Foreign Exchange Risk Management policies, including quarterly and annual reporting, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.

* Assist on analysis of other Treasury topics, such as global cash forecasting and variance analysis.

* Complete special projects as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • * Strong quantitative background and understanding of complex financial instruments

    * Knowledge of foreign currency products, trading practices and markets, along with strong mathematical, analytical skills

    * Effective business partnering skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships

    * Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills

    * Ability to present ideas and concepts clearly to peers and senior management

    * Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset

    * Ability to document procedures, while prioritizing and driving process improvement

    * Familiarity with US GAAP


Education


* Bachelor's degree preferably with a business and finance major; Master's degree is highly preferred

* 10+ years of proven experience with experience managing foreign exchange programs in a corporate environment or on the foreign trading desk of a major financial institution

* Experience with Oracle Financials, Bloomberg, FX trading platforms and other treasury-specific software
