The Cigna Medicare Data Governance Lead Analyst will be responsible for data quality strategies across our Sales tools. This individual will define and implement strategies to proactively address data integrity across the Cigna's Medicare Advantage Sales tools. The individual will be accountable for proactively defining and executing on solutions and processes designed to address data accuracy, through identification, root cause analysis and resolution of discrepancies between Sales tools. The Data Governance lead will identify areas of risk and collaborate with Information Technology, Data & Analytics Governance team, Global data & Analytics partners and business Medicare Advantage business subject matter experts, as well as other matrix partners to prioritize and resolve data concerns through automation and data management strategies. This individual will work directly with Information Technology partners and Data & Analytics teams to deliver solutions which permanently address data accuracy issues, while reducing manual reconciliation efforts.

This individual will work with the Government Business Data Governance teams to design and implement automated data governance solutions. This lead will quickly become the subject matter expert on data dependencies and critical reporting across the organization and system integration points in order to identify areas of risk and implement preventative measures necessary to circumvent those risks. This individual will be fully accountable for data integrity across our Sales tools, with greatest focus initially around Salesforce.

The individual in this position will work collaboratively across multiple functional areas to analyze, plan and execute new business process improvements and automation into existing platforms and processes in order to ensure data quality. The Sales Tools Specialist will closely manage each delivery to ensure progress and alignment to meet committed deliverables. This includes working with SMEs to define detailed requirements, communicating directly with IT to ensure understanding of requirements, understanding business impacts and drivers, communicating to end users progress and timelines, and ensuring timely implementations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform gap analysis of data assets and existing data integration points to identify data needs

  • Build subject matter expertise on Sales tools, internal & external sales reporting and data dependencies

  • Determine strategies to address data gaps and ensure data accuracy necessary for business decisions

  • Work with business SMES and IT to deliver innovative, scalable solutions to ensure data accuracy

  • Define and implement solutions per business priorities, communicating timeline and status as appropriate

  • Partner with functional areas (Reporting teams, IT, Sales Operations, Commissions, Training, Compliance, Sales Integrity, Broker teams, Marketing), to ensure successful identification of data exposure, areas of concern, existing processes, data governance needs and opportunities for innovative solutions


  • Accountable for delivery and implementation of solutions in support of MA organization

  • Results-oriented with strong organization and planning skills; resourceful and self-directed

  • Identify issues and risks related to system functionality and establish innovative solutions to address

  • Create documentation standards and provide significant communication across organization

  • Identify gaps in processes and challenge self and others to develop and implement solutions

  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to ensure business objectives and their subsequent deliverables are met as expected

  • Establish strong, positive relationships with Sales leaders, business teams, and other matrix partners to successfully execute on deliverables

  • Meticulous about details, process and data

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's Degree - Business intelligence, Computer Science, Data analytics or Data Management preferred or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 or more years of work experience

  • Experience working with Salesforce

  • Familiar with Sales experience

  • Knowledgeable of CMS Medicare sales regulations (MCMGs)

  • Customer-focused, conscientious, results-oriented individual with a passion for accuracy and quality

  • Strong analytical, innovative problem solving skills

  • Strong project delivery skills and able to achieve success in highly matrix environment

  • Ability to develop strong relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
