Fleet Dispatcher/Office Staff:
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. The hours worked will be determined by the Operations Manager.
Summary: Schedule and dispatch workers, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials, or for normal service, or emergency repairs rendered outside the place of business. Record significant information addressing problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling reports on work progress. Help with office needs as they come up. Answer phones, filing, typing, etc.
Essential functions:
Competency: Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Must be detail oriented, accurate, flexible, dependable and a team player. Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships. You must have outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. Must also possess sound judgement and critical thinking skills with active listening and excellent communication skills as well.
Work environment: Position requires the employee to work in the office.
Physical demands: The position primarily requires sitting, typing, and viewing a computer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.
Travel: No travel is expected with this position.
Preferred education and experience: High School Diploma or GED. Successful candidate with 1-3 years of experience is preferred
