As an Administrative Support Specialist you will help ensure reports, records, and data are maintained for the YMCA of the North Shore supporting general operating functions such as HR and payroll, accounts receivable and collections, federal voucher management, reassment, and monthly billing.  As part of a training plan you will have the opportunity to learn administrative tasks on a rotating basis that will improve upon your knowledge and understanding of business functions while supporting the overall administration of records and accounts for the Y.  On a regular day you may support the collection outstanding accounts receivable balances from existing members and program participants, serve our members and communities by seeking ways to re-engage those who have fallen behind, process and post customer payments to open invoices, resolve billing problems, maintain employee personnel records, process onboarding documents, and ensure legal compliance and accurate reporting in response to local, state, and federal agencies. 

To thrive in this position you are a self-starter who works well independently or within a team.  You are efficient in a fast paced environment with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.  You are accustomed to working with deadlines and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You have problem solving skills and a proven ability to maintain confidentiality.


  • 1-2 years related administrative experience

  • Strong computer systems skills (including Excel) and ability to adapt to varying systems

  • Available 20-28 per week
