Helps manage Cigna Standout, the global employee recognition program, by supporting the multiple components the program entails. Performs recognition reporting and creates educational materials for key stakeholders such as HRBPs and business leaders. Interacts with various leaders and departments across the enterprise to help design and implement custom recognition programs. Performs daily administrative tasks such as handling employee inquiries and escalations. This role requires one to have strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Description

Cigna is seeking a Compensation Senior Analyst. This role requires the ability to demonstrate initiative and work as an enthusiastic team member, while performing a wide range of recognition related tasks and projects.

Supports the Recognition team by helping to manage the Cigna Standout recognition program, including site enhancements, employee issues, program components, and engagement plans to drive utilization of the recognition tool. Supports our recognition vendor on a daily basis with employee inquiries, custom program design and development, and other larger recognition projects. Assists with recognition reporting and analyzing data trends to help develop an annual engagement plan. Partners and aligns with DEI and Civic Affairs on larger enterprise-wide initiatives. Interacts with various business leaders when designing and implementing custom recognition programs to help meet their business objectives. Completes daily administrative tasks without immediate supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Helps drive the communication and engagement strategies for larger internal projects; develops project plans, socialization decks, and communication materials.


  • Develops and presents Cigna Standout educational material during business leader staff meetings, town halls etc.


  • Drives the annual recognition engagement plan by partnering closely with Corporate Communications and the DEI team; analyzes recognition data to develop most effective engagement initiatives and tactics.


  • Supports the different components of Cigna Standout, including the Service Milestone program and the Quarterly Standout program.

    • Prepares the Service Anniversary file and supporting documents on a monthly cadence.


    • Prepares the Quarterly Standout nomination materials for the quarterly committee meetings and handles the award components for the winners, and supports the internal communications.


    • Other tactical activities to support the overall success of the recognition program as a whole.




  • Works with HRBPs and business leaders to help design and implement custom recognition programs to help support their business objectives.


  • Manages the Cigna Recognition mailbox to help answer employee questions, escalations, custom program award selections, and other recognition related content.


  • Works closely with the vendor to complete weekly recognition file loads.


  • Provides Cigna Standout reporting support on an ad-hoc basis.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


  • Prior HR experience required; 2+ years of general HR experience


  • Advanced Microsoft Offices skills; general technical proficiency in other office related tools, and demonstrated ability to produce executive level documents in PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Workday experience preferred.


  • Strong organizational skills to be able to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time; ability to multi-task effectively.


  • Excellent communication skills for both verbal and written purposes; able to effectively distinguish between different audiences and understand how to best communicate with them.


  • Ability to prioritize work accordingly.


  • Ability to navigate the organization and maintain strong relationships.


  • Ability to navigate the organization with a high degree of professionalism.


  • Ability to learn new processes and effectively implement them to accomplish duties.


  • Ability to handle emotional employees with empathy, and respond to employees with a customer centric approach.


  • Detail-oriented individual who is both task and big picture driven.


  • Positive attitude; strong interpersonal skills and able to work with various levels of employees.


This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
