Job Summary

This position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Strategy. The Corporate Strategy team shapes the strategic direction of Point32Health, with a focus on identifying and leading enterprise-level initiatives and new business opportunities. The team advises and collaborates with company leaders to addresses key questions and critical business decisions facing senior management. The team's mandate is to drive innovation, identify strategic opportunities and target initiatives to optimize growth, revenue and margin. The team is also responsible for contributing to the company's enterprise strategy, business planning, Board-level engagement, and prioritizing initiatives and investments.

Job Description

The focus of the role is on optimizing our business: identifying growth opportunities and disruptive trends facing our existing business, with a view to continuous improvement and growth through new strategic opportunities. The key areas include:

• Strategic Opportunities:Lead strategic assessments in collaboration with leadership in each business line to grow our existing business.Drive research and design analyses to evaluate opportunities, with an emphasis on the intersection of internal and external market data, including equity and social determinants of health. Seek out opportunities to coordinate engagement on key topics across business lines.Support implementation of strategic initiatives by staying engaged with business line owners, designing pilots, and identifying ways to track and measure outcomes.


• Innovation Opportunities: Engage with Business Leaders and the Medical Cost Innovation Council to spearhead opportunities for identification and deployment of innovative solutions, whether organically built or sourced externally.Seek opportunities to test hypotheses via data-driven analyses and structured pilots.Build support for key business decisions and manage stakeholders at the VP level, while also shepherding the assessment and business case development for specific opportunities.


• Business Planning: Support strategic plan development for the enterprise in the form of annual business initiatives as well as 3-year strategic plans in collaboration with the Director, the SVP of Corporate Strategy and key business leaders.


• Special Projects:Manage research and analysis as part of the Corporate Strategy team's response to special project requests from Point32Health leadership and Board of Directors.Participate in the development of POVs on trends of particular relevance to our business

The Manager is responsible for analyzing and assessing market trends, consumer needs and competitive dynamics as well as exploring innovative solutions that can be brought to bear within Point32Health. This involves independent generation of ideas and solutions, independent management of stakeholders across the Enterprise at the VP level, drafting of reports and recommendations, and development of business cases for strategic options, including financial cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, and primary market research.

The Manager will work on several strategic issues simultaneously and is expected to proactively and independently develop conclusions with guidance from the Director, and to make recommendations to Senior Leaders. This requires significant interaction with business leaders and senior management in developing solutions and presenting options, business cases, and recommendations. The Manager will also help ensure that decisions lead to business change by guiding and supporting implementation efforts as needed.

The Manager will take the lead in articulating and communicating the results of strategic assessments, with guidance from the Director. This may take the form of written reports, one-on-one conversations, working sessions, and more formal group presentations.

This role also includes management of analytical resources within Corporate Strategy and in collaboration with project teams from across the enterprise. The Manager will also work with external vendors and manage negotiations and interactions with Compliance and IS as needed for analytical efforts. A key quality of the Manager includes being an effective and collaborative colleague within the broader Corporate Strategy team and the ability to build connections across the enterprise.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• 6-8 years' experience in roles of increasing independence and responsibility, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or other relevant field.


• Knowledge of health ecosystem required. Health insurance industry knowledge a significant plus
