Associate Manager, Field Compensation

If you answered yes to any of those questions, there may be a role for you on the Compensation and Planning and Analysis team, which is responsible for developing compensation programs that help drive the growth of Pru Advisors.  In doing so, in partnership with our Senior Leaders, including Pru Advisors Field Leadership team, we solve problems and we create programs that help drive recruiting, retention, and profitable growth of the business while caring for our clients’ experience.

The current opening is for a motivated person with strong financial, analytical and technical skills. This position is part of the Compensation and Planning and Analysis team and will have responsibility for providing ongoing support for our field leadership and financial advisor compensation programs.  This support includes analysis of compensation plan results, development of rules and procedures that aid in resolving complex compensation or regulatory issues, and development of compensation administrative guides and tools that help drive growth.

Description & Responsibilities:


  • Development and administrative oversight of compensation programs and initiatives which are designed to enhance the advisor or customer experience.

  • Analyze quarterly field management and advisor compensation results to identify trends or concerns.

  • Create administrative guides for product compensation, field leadership compensation programs, and financial advisor compensation programs.

  • Develop relationships across various teams in the organization, including Operations.

  • Provide on-going support and assistance to the Prudential Advisors Field Leadership teams and individual advisors; research and analyze complex inquiries related to compensation.

  • Partner with internal control partners to ensure adherence to regulatory processes, risk controls, and ongoing monitoring of compensation plans.

  • Additional ad hoc requests or project work as requested by Management.

Qualifications:


  • Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking and the ability to problem solve.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels, including those within our business unit and senior leadership teams.

  • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prior financial and analytical experience, including experience supporting sales compensation plans and administration  

  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize, managing multiple projects at a time.

  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

  • Preferred knowledge of key business drivers, performance metrics and/or financial implications to the business and the bottom line.

  • College degree preferred.

  • Strong Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint Skills; Knowledge of Oracle BI & FDW preferred. 


*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $82,300-111,300 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
