Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Civil/Water Resources Project Manager in our Maine/New Hampshire Area. The position can sit in Augusta, ME or Portland, ME.

The primary focus of this position is to provide and promote professional engineering services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions to a diversity of projects through the application of engineering knowledge and skills, to support permitting and compliance and provide client coordination and marketing services to expand engineering services to well established clientele.

Primary responsibilities include serving as project manager and working with engineering staff to plan, design and oversee general site/civil design, and stormwater analysis as well as design in support of municipal and quasi-municipal clients. The position will also provide senior level technical review (to include QA/QC) for select projects and programs in the area of planning, analysis, engineering and/or design associated with general site/civil engineering.

In general, the candidate must be able to work with and foster cooperative multi-discipline engineering teams including geotechnical, water, and structural engineers, as well as other disciplines. The candidate should be able to demonstrate mentorship of more junior engineers and promote a safety-conscious work environment.

Candidate will be expected to contribute extensively to successful business development by managing client relationships in the municipal and water markets.

Candidates for this position must have:

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience of progressive responsibility performing general site/civil, an emphasis in water engineering and/or experience working with municipal clients is preferred. Experience covering permitting support, construction management and related civil engineering tasks is also preferred;


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering;


• Current Civil P.E. registration for the States of Maine and New Hampshire or the ability to acquire within 6 months.


• Ability to meet with clients, produce plans and specifications, and mentor junior engineering staff.
