Responsibilities

The Business Planning Analyst will focus on field service contract labor invoicing activities within the Planning & Control function - including performing reconciliation of contract labor billing, system administration tasks and serialized assets. This role will assist in trend analysis for Field Operations in the defined area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have foundational finance/business planning knowledge, with prior invoicing/billing experience and aspirations to further develop a career in Finance.

Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for preparing, reconciling, and analyzing weekly invoicing for contract labor expenses.


• Responsible for familiarity with individual vendor contracts to ensure invoicing is accurate and aligned to respective contract provisions.


• Assist in preparation and analysis of payment adjustments outside of the system work order scoring for special projects as directed by Field Operations Leadership.


• Responsible for reviewing and resolving vendor inquiries regarding work order processing/payment activity.


• Maintains a clear understanding of work orders from initial implementation to final payout; knowledgeable in charges for specific jobs and contract requirements.


• With minimal oversight, responsible for verifying work orders that make up vendor and affiliate invoices to ensure accurate payments for services rendered.


• Responsible for system maintenance of the contractor invoicing system specifically the day to day volume of technician updates and user administration.


• Assist Business Planning Manager with month-end accrual calculations.


• Responsible for testing on-going invoice system enhancements to support evolving business needs.


• Direct responsibility for preparing and analyzing serialized asset invoicing for third party field service vendors.


• Develop, report, and maintain routine ad-hoc analysis to support the business.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.


• Ability to analyze large amounts of data for invoicing accuracy and ad-hoc analysis.


• Previous experience in an invoicing/billing role or related required.


• Experience with high volume/value invoice management and maintaining relationships with vendors preferred.


• Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to interact with employees and leaders at all levels.


• Detail oriented with the ability to analyze problems, probe facts and question assumptions.


• Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas and pivot tables.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL related applications.


• Cabledata experience and understanding data on work orders is preferred.


• High degree of integrity.


• Ability to analyze and solve problems using fact-based decision-making.
