North AmericaAutomotive OEMDemand Manager - Seals

Location: Plymouth, MI

Reports to: Vice President Business Operations

Role Expectations:

• This position has the responsibility toforecast andplanSealsproductsfor Automotive OEMs located in North America.


• The position iscritical to the success ofmeeting customer service levels while controllinginventory investment.


• The positionreports to the Director of Sales Operations for North American OEM Automotive.

Your Priorities will be:

• Forecasting


• Demand Management


• Supply Planning

Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:

• Maintain 18-month forecast for all assigned Parts.


• Meet metrics for Forecast Accuracy, Customer Service levels,and Inventory levels.


• Work with Sales/Business Development Teams to get consensus on current forecast levels and assist in the Business Planning process.


• Set Safety Stock levels for all assigned Parts.


• Assist customer service in recognizing abnormal customer demands.


• Discuss with Customer Service and Sales to allocate supply in tight inventory situations.


• Redistribute inventory between warehouses when necessary.


• Report long-term changes in forecast to helpsuppliersmanagecapacities.


• Review Slow Moving Inventory, suggest methods for reducing when necessary.


• Monitor product parameters and forecasts to ensure accurate recommended buys and timely order execution utilizing DRP systems for assigned products.


• Maintain and issue purchase/supplyorders to both external and internal suppliers.


• Address supply and demand chain issues.


• Maintain open communications and quick resolutions between Suppliers, Customer Service, and the Product Mgmt.


• Address open inquiries in our Company Operational Inquiry and Demand Management Inquiry systems.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Mgt or 3-5 years related inventory mgt experience preferred.


• Must have proficient computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office applications


• Experience in Planning Systems


• Experience in Microsoft BI or similar databasea plus


• APICS Certification a plus
