    Job Description

    Position Summary:
    • Responsible for machine operation and crew(s) in a light industrial setting.
    • Must manage machine team(s) to insure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment.
    • Responsible for quality, output and meeting production goals.
    • Additionally fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1 and 2 as required.

    Key Duties / Responsibilities:
    • Performs activities to maintain a working knowledge and understanding of machine components and manufacturing operation.
    • Performs basic maintenance on assigned machines and components.
    • Demonstrates strong understanding of computers and keyboard functions.
    • Applies advanced troubleshooting skills for pocket issues such as doubles, misfeeds and jams.
    • Resolves machine productivity and product quality problems without assistance.
    • Performs activities to maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of machine components and operation, including jacket pocket, carousal, stacker, and auto-strapper.
    • Demonstrates effective written and verbal English communication skills as a trainer for new hires and temporary associates.
    • Collects, analyzes, and reports critical objective data and information to supervisor, recommending improved machine use, quality control, and staff utilization.
    • Communicates with management via e-mail or other computer based methods.
    • Performs safety audits, correcting and documenting any safety behavior issues with team members. Reports and/or corrects machine safety issues.
    • Adheres to housekeeping standards.

    Qualifications

    Education & Knowledge:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred.
    • Advanced computer software experience.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of machine components and manufacturing operation.

    Experience / Skills / Abilities:
    • 3 - 5 years related experience.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Strong knowledge of machine components and manufacturing operations.
    • Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
    • Demonstrates advance skills in computers and production reports.

    • Communicate with other production team members.
