POSITION SUMMARY


Unifi is looking for an experienced Aviation Services Instructor, Above Wing to join our team, reporting to the Aviation Services Above Wing Training Manager. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on a growing company by taking ownership of Training Delivery and Compliance for our key business operations and customers. You will be responsible delivering innovative, high-quality training to advance the operational skills of our front line and throughout the organization.  Additionally, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training content you are certified to deliver, providing support to Station Trainers, Station Managers, front-line employees, as well as Senior Leadership.  You will collaborate closely with our Learning and Development team as well as partners from across the organization, including internal and external customers, to create and deliver best in class, industry leading training.


 


As an Above Wing Aviation Services Instructor, you will be certified to deliver training for multiple airline customers, including Train-the-Trainer qualifications, for Customer Service functions.  These functions include, but are not limited to, customer service safety, customer service skills, main cabin door & jetbridge operations, and airline reservation system training.


 


Above Wing operations are fast paced and an exciting part of our business.  Having knowledge of above wing operations and the airline industry are not required but will give you a competitive edge.


 


PRINCIPLE DAY to DAY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Facilitation of training courses within your area of responsibility, in a remote learning environment, or in-person setting, delivering content to various work groups, ensuring high levels of participation and the successful transfer-of-knowledge to each participant.


  • Work with counterparts in the Training Department, to support measurable, comprehensive unifi aviation services training strategy, supplementing current systems and job skills training, ensure those in the field are able to excel in the performance of their own roles, providing confidence and competency to parallel growth of our business.


  • Support incorporation of consistency in delivery and competency of job skills training into all programs and materials, ensuring unifi employees, scaled across your area of responsibility, are equipped with not only advanced skills, but inspire our unique culture to lead the industry.


  • Ensure design and facilitation of training offerings are delivered using adult learning principles with relevant technology.


  • Deliver effective communications and information to your class participants including, but not limited to: Surveys, training newsletters, bulletins, compliance reports, as well as providing timely responses to e-mails from our customers, both internal and external.

 


 


 


 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:



  • Deliver a variety of required content, in various modalities, to all levels of employees within our organization with confidence, professionalism, and integrity.

  • Knowledge and ability to navigate the day-to-day operational aspects of the Learning Management System(s) in your area of responsibility.

  • Provide user troubleshooting assistance with required technology

  • Collaborate with the Training Organization, including Innovation & instructional Design, to provide insight as well as offering new content if training does not meet the current standards or is technologically outdated

  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of all deliverables.

  • Utilize excellent judgment and communication with others when working with sensitive data.

  • Organize and manage several tasks or projects with concurrent, time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Balance multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently to meet project schedules.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 3 years in Aviation Services Training, or related experience

  • Experience working closely with Senior Leaders, as well as the front line.  Experience within the station environment to fully understand needs is preferred

  • A thorough knowledge of Adult Learning Principals and delivery techniques

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment as part of a collaborative team, jumping in to help each other, and pivoting as needed

  • Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development (such as training, conferences, workshops, certifications, etc.)

 


WORK ENVIRONMENT


While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a remote setting, office, or classroom environment, with availability during normal business hours.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the business.  During field visits the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, and extreme cold and extreme heat and moving mechanical parts such as propellers and jet fans and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May work various hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel, up to 100%, may be required.
