DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB SUMMARY
Entry Level position provides assistance to higher level mechanics and performs basic task relating to product assembly, to include assembly preparation, drilling, grinding and cleaning parts.
• Comply with and participate in the company’s quality and safety programs and initiatives
• Assist higher level mechanics in the assembly process with the use of instructions, drawings, and schematics. Assist in activities such as parts fitting, press fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding and flame heating are all daily processes
• Preparation work includes layout of the job, identify and assemble necessary parts and tools, measure and consult technical charts
• Keep work areas clean and ensure tooling is maintained in good safe working order
• Assist in In-bound and Out-bound inspections
• Process appropriate paperwork as tasks are complete
• Assist other areas of the facility as needed
• Overtime maybe required to meet customer delivery schedules
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of Mechanical experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations. Ability to understand drawings, bills of materials, and schematics.
COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous.

•Understands interpretations of drawings
•Ability to explain coating protection and storage
•Ability to explain calibration process and procedures
•Ability to explain high voltage utility systems (PHDC)
•Demonstrates proper use of tools
•Can identify and explain types of anc’s, locktite, grease and lubricants
•Continuous 7S improvement
•Properly torque a series of bolts using a torque wrench properly
•Able to write a JSA
•Ability to properly manufacture hose assemblies, gauge crimps and maintain the hose crimping machine
•Ability to properly align torque guide sections to each other
•Ability to properly set top drives for hydrostatic pressure test
•Ability to explain supply chain process
