AJM Packaging is a leading manufacturer of branded and private label paper products including plates, bowls, cups, and bags. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are looking for a Production Scheduler to join our team!  This position will be responsible for all scheduling and planning activities across our high volume manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities of this important position include short and longer term production planning, creating and managing production schedules, monitoring and adjusting inventory levels, optimizing production efficiencies and ensuring on-time customer delivery.

Responsibilities


  • A high level of proficiency in plant scheduling, planning, analyzing cycle counts and, managing changeovers demonstrated at a multi-plant level.

  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a high volume manufacturing operation, supporting multiple locations and operations interdependence.

  • Strong training and mentoring skills and the ability to develop direct reports and other key personnel involved in scheduling operations.

  • Strong communications skills and the ability to interact and communicate in an effective and proactive manner with multiple team members, ensuring operational targets are met and customer’s delivery schedules are satisfied.

  • Strong operational and administrative skills and careful attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with analysis tools and outstanding problem solving skills.

  • Travel (up to 20%) to other facilities to perform inventory, reporting and reconciliation.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, materials or logistics management.

  • Three years or more of production, planning, scheduling, inventory control, logistics and/or supply chain management experience with at least five of those years in a high-volume, multi-plant manufacturing

  • Experience in Dynamics AX preferred and solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • APICS certification preferred.
