Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Operator uses arbor press with dial indicator to measure and straighten leadscrews to company and customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and interpret routings, blueprints other documents.
Make necessary post operation and scrap transactions in the MRP system.
Follow all straightening work instructions and procedures in QMS.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High school diploma or GED required; professional certification/education preferred

1-3 years’ minimum relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong mechanical aptitude

Good understanding of machining practices

Ability to read blueprints, specification drawings; read and interpret other written work instructions a plus

Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices

Additional Characteristics:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position required the ability to lift 20+ lbs. occasionally, 10-20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.

This position may require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.

This position requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity.

This position may be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils.
