Part-time Apparel Inspector

Intertek is searching for a Part-time Inspector based in North Carolina to travel to client facilities and perform inspections based on pre-defined specifications. The ideal Part-time Inspector candidate will enjoy working autonomously, have a flexible work schedule, and be comfortable with traveling up to 75% of their work time.

The Part-time Inspector position is responsible for performing inspections at factories and logistic facilities to ensure that products being manufactured are in accordance with established standards and specifications created by the client and/or Intertek.

What you'll do:


  • Plan and conduct inspections in accordance with scheduling requirements
  • Document compliance and non-compliance found during the inspection with accuracy
  • Inspect products according to client' standards
  • Complete and submit reports for each client inspected in a timely manner
  • Make own travel arrangements & maintain expenses to be reimbursed
  • Keep all information confidential to each client
  • Communicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in apparel industry quality control (required)
  • Ability to understand product tech packs and perform apparel measurements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Having knowledge of AQL standards and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Valid Drivers' License and acceptable driving record (required)
