Role description:

Arcadis is currently searching for an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in White Plains, NY.

Successful applicants for this position must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and be fully vaccinated, or have a valid waiver, by date of hire. Proof of vaccination is required.

Role accountabilities:

Who you are:


  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team
  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
  • Ability to balance and address new challenges as they arise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of electrical codes and NFPA standards.
  • Basic knowledge of power distribution
What you will do:

  • Perform electrical design and coordination of various projects, involving municipal and industrial projects with an emphasis on utility distribution systems, as well as the analysis of existing systems.
  • Perform design calculations, develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications.
  • Increase involvement with cost estimating, code review, field investigation, report and memo writing and other similar electrical engineering related tasks.
  • Travel to client sites and other Arcadis office locations as needed
  • Short term travel in the region for project meetings, site visits, etc.
This position requires local and regional travel. Valid Driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or closely related engineering field.
  • EIT certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire and ability to obtain Professional registration when eligible

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with utility distribution systems
