We are seeking a Office Assistant, General Internal Medicine to:


  •  Collect paperwork and additional medical records as needed.

  •  Scan documents, distribute faxes to staff and providers.

  •  Complete medical record releases according to policy.

Education:

Minimum – High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience:

Preferred – One year of experience in an administrative support role

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to present oneself in a professional manner

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize workload to complete projects with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time, 0.70 FTE position, scheduled Monday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
