Thales is seeking a Territory Sales Manager covering the Mid-Atlantic region. As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, you will be an individual contributor responsible for promoting, positioning and selling Thales’ robust portfolio of highly secure products and services into Enterprise accounts.  This role can be done remotely from VA, MD, PA, NY, or NJ.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Meet and exceed sales revenue goals by managing existing customers and focusing on acquiring new customers within a defined region/territory.


  • Serve as the main point of contact for your customers and own the ‘well-being’ of all the accounts you manage.


  • Maintain and grow current customers based on set individual objectives, strategic business line planning, and the Thales global strategy.


  • Act proactively to identify new business opportunities by following up on leads, requests for proposals (RFPs) and through your own initiated social-selling/prospecting efforts.


  • Participate in various industry-marketing events in your territory to find new prospects and build partner relationships.


  • Determine solution fit by conducting customer sales presentations and by working with a sales engineer on product demonstrations/evaluations.


  • Facilitate the acquisition process of our products and services with a customer’s procurement team through a Value Added Reseller (VAR) or from Thales directly.


  • Maintain an accurate reflection of your sales activity, business’ pipeline and revenue forecast in Salesforce for Thales leadership.


  • Work collaboratively with your peers in other regions as well as your internal colleagues to facilitate a positive team environment.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2+ years of direct technology solution sales experience


  • 1 to 2+ years of experience within Sales within the IT industry.


  • Ability to create and maintain good relationships with senior managers and C-Level executives in Fortune 2000 companies.


  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals


  • Strong oral and written communication skills.


  • Goal-oriented, possess high organizational skills, persistent, autonomous, accountable and a strong leader.


Preferred Skills and Experience:


  • Knowledge of Info/Cyber Security.


  • Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle, including developing the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans.


  • Experience working with multi-element revenue models, which include both one time and recurring revenue streams, which may include multiple products.


  • Capable of closing complicated deals from discovering sales opportunities to contract completion.


  • Able to up-sell existing accounts as well as proactively identify and acquire new customers.


  • Comfortable being an active participant (not necessarily leader) in highly technical discussions.


  • Previous negotiation, value-based or solution sales training experience.


  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Office and SalesForce.


  • Experience/knowledge in CRISC and CISSP.
