Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol

Under general direction, oversee all phases of project/sub-project management & governance within the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) section with responsibilities & activities that include organizations external to ODPS & whose primary stakeholders are executive level; Manage the coordination & administration of eWarrants projects & provide assistance to local courts, law enforcement agencies, Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) Office of Information Technology (OIT), LexisNexis & the LEADS eWarrants section; Assist in develop & implementation policies & procedures pertaining to project & program management, agile methodologies, process analysis, standard & quality assurance measures & implement throughout LEADS; Establish guidelines for monitoring project compliance & plans (e.g., scope, timeline, cost, risk assessment, quality assurance, etc.); Monitor projects, review deliverables, make recommendations for modifications & resolve issues; Ensure successful completion of projects (i.e., contract & administrative closure) & serve as OSHP/LEADS project representative (e.g., provide project presentations & status updates; act as liaison with ODPS sections, divisions, & other state agencies as required).
Develop & update training plans for resources impacted by project implementations; Oversee & improve project processes (e.g., assigned workloads; team-building activities; document key business practices; work with assigned Divisions/Business Units/external entities to bridge functional & technical gaps with LEADS; perform software piloting/testing); Perform other duties as assigned (e.g. research & respond to inquiries; represent the Division/Section on committees, seminars & meetings, etc.).
Successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects; 12 mos. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation).
-Or 4 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
