The Executive Director for the Oklahoma Pandemic Center for Innovationand Excellence (OPCIE) reports directly to the Senior Vice President of OSUCenter for Health Sciences and an advisory board comprised of appointedof the OSU Center for Health Sciences and the OSU-Stillwater Office of the VicePresident for Research.The Executive Director will serve on the leadership team and is responsible fordeveloping and fulfilling the vision and business model of the OPCIE, as well as serving as the overall leader of the OPCIE focused on improving cost and quality.

- Bachelor's degree with executive experiencein a sizeable life sciences company focused on technology and molecular testdevelopment;


- Doctoral/Terminaldegree in a discipline relevant to pandemic sciences and/or OneHealth (theinterconnectivity of human health, animal health, and environmental health) withsubstantial leadership experience

- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Solid management skills and success in developing leading strategic projects with proven results
- Should demonstrate to be a charismatic leaderthat can unify and lead personnel around a mission
- Strong leadership skills that can connect peopleand process
- Should have experience operating a complexorganization with profit and loss responsibilities
- Should have a track record of growingan organization with a demonstrated talent for business development
- An understanding of the economics of 21st century healthcare
- Well-developed oral and written communicationskills

Ideal candidate must be self-directed andcomfortable with ambiguity. In addition to education and previous experiencethe position requires strong analytical and planning skills and creativethinking. Thesuccessful candidate will have a history of demonstrating ethical andprofessional behavior.


- Past exposure to interacting with an independent board
- History of developing expanded relationships through legal agreements, joint ventures, or purchase
