Who we are looking for

State Street Global Billing Operations (GBO) has a transformation project underway to migrate client invoicing to a new billing application.  The goal of this project is to mitigate billing error risk by decommissioning multiple billing platforms into a standard application.  This project is global in scale and is comprised of 4 key pillars:  Data readiness and systems, client clustering and conversion, billing validation, and BAU production.   Complete, accurate and timely data is foundational to the success of the transformation effort.
 

The Data Readiness and Systems team has an immediate need for a versatile individual with strong business and data analysis skills that can be leveraged for the development of comprehensive business requirements impacting the build-out of the new billing application and its related systems.  The successful candidate must be skilled in complex business data analysis; have expertise with functional requirements gathering and documentation; have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; have a proven ability to liaise between business/implementation and technology teams and display strong collaboration skills in a matrixed, global organization.

What you will be responsible for

As Portfolio Manager/Trader you will


  • Support data integration efforts by gathering and documenting comprehensive business requirements, including but not limited to configuration set up requirements for new data sources, billing calculation logic, data gathering and loading, and testing.

  • Work closely with team members from data sourcing and lineage, GBO, data operations and data providers to establish and document implementation requirements, including the development of use cases to support testing.

  • Analyze and document data mappings from source systems to the data hub and resulting data outputs required for client invoicing conversion.

  • Analyze and document any derivation, workflow and enrichment required within the application and related systems that are necessary to support data integration and client conversion activities.

  • Work with the data transformation leads and IT to establish project delivery plans for future releases.

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the billing platform and the data repository and client set up system with which it interacts.

  • Collaborate with other teams within billing transformation and IT to share best practices, raise issues and develop consistent global processes

  • Support the implementation of on-going enhancements to billing platform as needed

  • Knowledge and working experience of SQL, Oracle, Toad, Squirrel, EDM and ETL are all an advantage.

Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience documenting complex business requirements

  • Clear understanding of identifying data requirements and inter-dependencies.

  • Ability to effectively communicate

  • Ability to multitask and work under high pressure deadlines.

  • Ability to reprioritize quickly when necessary.

  • Previous billing experience is a plus but not required.

  • Knowledge and working experience with SQL, Oracle, Toad, Squirrel, EDM and ETL are all an advantage.
