Referral Coordinator at Texas Physical Therapy Specialist in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description:

Texas Physical Therapy Specialists is looking for a full-time Referral Coordinator at our Central Billing location in San Antonio. With the hours being Monday- Friday 9:00 am- 6:00 pm. This position is remote with in-person training for the first 30 days.

Job Responsibilities: As a Referral Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Some overall job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Scheduling Appointments


• Data entry


• Interaction with patients and physicians on the phone


• Customer service


• Coordinating with various staff within Texas Physical Therapy Specialists to ensure patient/customer requests are handled appropriately and timely.


• Coordinating incoming referrals

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Skills/Experience:

• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.


• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.


• Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.


• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.


• Working knowledge of insurance benefits, deductibles, co-payments related to the delivery of medical care (preferred).


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.


• Must be well organized and detail-oriented.


• Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations


• Sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.


• Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.


• Regularly required to talk and hear.


• Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.


• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


• It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.

Pay: $15-16/hr.
