To grow Medtronic's Cardiac Diagnostics business through sales of the Reveal LINQ™ System a Mobile Cardiac Telemetry to Electrophysiologists, Implanting Cardiologists and targeted General Cardiologists. Additionally, focus on market development to referring physicians with a primary focus on disease states such as cryptogenic stroke, syncope and atrial fibrillation.

Collaborate effectively with the CRDM and CVG field teams to implement the Diagnostics strategies and ensure flawless execution with our customers.

A Day in the Life:

We are hiring a seasoned sales professional to be a part of our growing Diagnostics division. In this role, you will be responsible for growing the Diagnostics business in an assigned geographic area by expanding our implanter base and bringing our technology to more patients. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with strong relationship-building skills and a hunter or start-up mentality.


  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's Diagnostics products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Works to develop and grow new implanters and/or build referral pathways for Medtronic's therapies and devices at target general cardiologist offices by promoting and expanding the service and value proposition of Medtronic's Diagnostics offering.
  • Works to achieve individual sales targets within geographic area by developing new customers and/or expanding existing accounts.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including, but not limited to physician practices, general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and key opinion leaders.
  • Responsible for pursuing leads identified by the remote sales specialist(s), assessing their needs, and implement sales strategies to sell the value of Medtronic and long-term heart rate monitoring for syncope or atrial fibrillation.
  • Owns end-to-end relationship with in-office accounts, but partners and collaborates with Remote Economic Specialist and Clinic Activation Specialist for pre-sale and initial adoption support, as well as ongoing account management support, as needed.
  • Builds strong relationship with other Diagnostics and CRHF sales representatives in territory.
  • Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors' activities.
  • Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
  • Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in sales processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.

Must Haves: Basic Qualifications:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years field sales experience or
  • 2 years of Medtronic CRHF Clinical Specialist


Nice to Have - Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience


  • 3+ years medical sales experience in hospital environment selling to interventional cardiologists/electrophysiologists/cardiothoracic surgeons
  • Experience selling and servicing diagnostic and/or monitoring devices
  • Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel
  • Computer literacy
  • Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings
