A Day in the Life

The Strategic Platform Executive will report directly to the Western US Regional Manager (RM) and will have primary responsibility for the sale of Illumistie ENB and the LungGPS platform. The Strategic Platform Executive will need to work cooperatively with the Sales management team; ILS Sales Team, Market Development Executives as well as the Phillips Sales team to lead generate, conduct demos and close sales in their given Area geography.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Education, Finance and Market Development to deploy sales plan and secure customers for Illumisite ENB and the LungGPS platform.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to Sales, Sales Training, and Marketing regarding the commercialization of these new products.
  • Work closely with the ILS Leadership team to help build, provide input and execute on critical, business strategies.
  • Embrace the sales vision to enable strategic targeting and execution to targets which are most desirable to the business.
  • Establish an actionable pipeline of prospects from ILS Install Base, Prospective MDT customers and within Philips Install Base.
  • Inform activities to evolve the sales organization toward a desired future state with a new core business of software solutions.

ENGAGE


  • Oversee the pipeline management for the Area and coordinate with Philips.
  • Prepare to coach others related to key learnings regarding sales process with new platform and new call point with Hospital IT.
  • Help develop and maintain company culture as a member of the Area sales team.
  • Develop an overall plan to deliver revenue while engaging Account Managers, Territory Managers and coordinating activity with Philips.
  • Provide consistent communication to VPM on a weekly basis that ensures alignment and focus on key business priorities.

INNOVATE:


  • Establish and maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies to increase the customer base with Illumisite ENB and the Lung GPS platform.
  • Strategic partner at the table to provide valuable insight, feedback and input to the future direction of the ILS franchise and pan-MITG Lung Health program
  • Identify and manage collaboration opportunities with other sales organizations within MITG to further the penetration of Medtronic's disease-state oriented solutions.

ACHIEVE:


  • Work with the RM to establish alignment to key company objectives.
  • Develop strategies, process and disciplines that support bottom line commitments by delivering revenue commitments.
  • Drive sales to meet or exceed company's objectives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years field sales experience and at least two years of medical device sales.

Nice to Have


  • MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, with 3-5 years in management positions.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving sales goals, managing high performing teams and developing key customer relationships.
  • Experience selling to physicians teaching a new procedure and selling a new paradigm
  • Experience discussing reimbursement related to a medical device sales
  • Experience with prospecting for new business and cold calling
  • Goal-oriented individual who operates on a high sense-of-urgency and drives issues to closure.
  • Proven track record working collaboratively with a cross-functional team
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and integrity.
  • Experience in strategic and tactical sales planning.
  • Experience in C-suite, capital or software sales
  • Proven experience in technical sales process
  • Strategic leader with executive presence.
  • Strong communication skills with organizational presence.
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team in a matrix setting.
  • Experience in successfully managing a budget function.
  • Utilizing technology in management of the sales force.
  • Ability to inspire high performance.
  • Proven record of building and developing talent.
  • Experience with a frequent changes in organizational structure, cultural shifts and redeployment of assets is highly desirable.
