Process the following sales order types: Sample sales orders (SF), Bailment sales orders (SI), Opus One retail orders (S5), and Distributor sales orders (SO).
Process VI1 orders. This order type is the documents for importation of wine oversea.
These orders contain shipping paperwork and certificates of analysis for each item.
Process ILPP orders. These orders are for lab samples and are lot specific shipping to
winery labs within the company.
Organize and process paperwork for brand tasting kits and other special projects.
Recording daily Sample sales orders (SF) overhead for reimbursed at $35 an order.
Identify expiring wines for IDP.
Ordering wine for orders from other facilities.
Order packaging supplies for shipping orders
Support the warehouse operations team to achieve and surpass department standards and goals for Safety, Cost, Productivity, Efficiency, including Method Changes and On-time performance.
Build strategic working relationships with coworkers to promote mutual team benefits and support for onsite departments.
Communicate effectively, concisely, and constructively, both verbally and in writing. Must be timely and accurate with distribution of information.
Identify, analyze, and resolve issues affecting order management and transportation performance.
Propose and execute improvements to business processes as necessary.
Ensure a safe working environment by executing and supporting safety initiatives and related training and participation in safety meetings.
Utilize applicable warehouse and company systems, JDE inventory management, production support, shipping, timekeeping, cycle-counting and safety and ISO procedures.
Collaborate with team members to reach an optimum level of efficiency. Includes order management flow evaluations and workload adjustments.
Participate in daily meetings with team, Supervisor and Foreman (i.e., Visibility Board, Workload Status, Scheduling). Willing to provide feedback, observations and suggestions regarding quality, safety, efficiency, and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in a related field and 2 to 5 years’ experience in Shipping/Receiving (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, related internal functions, external partners, and on project teams.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills required.
Solid, straightforward, and professional oral and written communication skills required, including presenting data and analysis clearly to management.
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills required. Experience with ERP Systems, particularly SAP is a plus.
Able to be certified in forklift/clamp operations
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Ability to build a team environment.
Familiarity with outbound loading requirement for truck and rail.
Able to work, Day/Swing Shift (rotation)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery, and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required. Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic - Must be able to move up to 55 lbs - Primary office environment may be warehouse/distribution setting
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
