Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team in Orlando, FL as a Senior Cost Estimator, supporting the Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Program, working as am "extension of staff" in the client's office in Ocoee, FL (metro Orlando area). This position will provide career growth opportunities through estimating support for FTE toll road, and express lanes / managed lanes toll road infrastructure projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Supervises & prepares construction cost estimates and schedules for design projects by coordinating and reviewing quantity takeoffs and pricing.


• Reviews and comments on estimates/schedules prepared by others.


• Evaluate project scope change orders and negotiates settlements.


• Develops manpower loading and providing corporate assistance.


• Supervises production of project schedules for complex transportation design & construction project schedules.


• Performs or assists with project constructability and value engineering reviews.


• Develops project controls for various clients.


• Develops, prepares and recommends company guidelines on estimating/scheduling.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s Degree with technical discipline with thirteen years of relevant experience.


• Twelve years’ experience required with Masters Degree or fifteen years’ experience in project control or cost analysis with associates degree


• Experience managing cost and schedule for design and construction projects.


• Strong written and communication skills,


• Ability to work well as part of a team.


• Flexibility to perform work for multiple clients in different environments (client offices, Atkins offices, etc.)
