Conducts analysis through research, gathering and interpretation of data from PacifiCorp's metering, customer service, and logistical systems. Designs, monitors, and documents performance and quality control related reports. Provides preventive and corrective process improvement recommendations. Supports field and operational management, administration and projects.
Analyzes and ensures the administration and compliance of all field metering related SOX, quality controls and metering verifications including the accurate metering, account set up, billing, and contracts for PacifiCorp's largest > 1000 kw load customers
Designs, analyzes, and provides weekly and monthly monitoring and reporting to field metering operations managers and director for all related key performances, goals, statistics, and projects
Manages the meter test facility in Salt Lake City, UT. Orders and tracks inventory of required and specialty meters, metering instruments, metering equipment, materials, and supplies.
Schedules metering equipment repairs with vendors. Creates associated requisitions and purchase orders and ensures payments
Gatekeeps, reviews and provides detailed root cause analyses, and process improvement recommendations for all complex metering and billing related issues involving human performance errors
Develops training documents and job aids, supports and ensures business continuity for field metering related activities
Participates in field and operational related projects as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of three years of related experience with metering, customer service, or procurement related systems
Proficient with the use of personal computers and software including spreadsheet, databases, word processing, and presentation applications
Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature
Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to present alternatives and recommendations
Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations
Must be flexible and available to work a variety of work shifts
Travel may be required
Preference may be given to candidates who have the above requirements and have the following:
Proficiency, knowledge and understanding of (CSS, RCMS, SAP, MWM, FCS, BOBJ)
Knowledge and experience with complex billing issues, meter exchanges, creating and establishing new site addresses
Knowledge, understanding and experience with metering equipment and billing (metering multipliers, and register groups)
Knowledge, understanding and experience with state rate schedules and back billing rules
Knowledge of metering, billing, customer services, procurement and related systems
Knowledge and understanding of meter reading and work force management systems
