GIS Business Consultant at Infosys Limited in Richardson, Texas

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a GIS Consultant - In this role, In this position, you will be responsible for conducting and facilitating workshops with business partners to gather requirements for complex business procedures for GIS Workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GIS and poses business process expertise and can leverage this knowledge to design and deliver the necessary solutions. This is a key position in a fast paced, high-tech company. Experience at a Utility company is highly desired.

Location for this position is Juno Beach, FL. Candidate can work from any locations within the location and or be remote. This position may require relocation or travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience in GIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in GIS
• Gather and facilitate business process discussions, solution design and documentation, configuration, test and end-user support
• Provide inputs in promoting and implementing best-practice solutions (business processes and GIS functionality): proactively address problems and troubleshoot Project issues
• Work closely with the operations teammates and business partners to fully understand the user functionality, pain points and areas of improvements within our applications
• Assist and help with the delivery of special projects and small enhancements and assist in reviewing and improving policies and procedures
• Review statistics, validate or challenge the way things have always been done and identify areas for process and/or support tool improvements and efficiencies.
• Define business workflows and establish performance benchmarks for project requirements.
• Conducts analyses and prepares reports that provide operation and/or technical support to business operations
• Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects
• Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
