Johnson Controls has a phenomenal opportunity as a Level 3 Technical Support Specialist. This is a remote position but applicants must be located in the Pacific time zone (west coast) OR a commutable distance to Westford, MA. 

How you will do it


  • Working as part of a customer support team in supporting Johnson Controls customers worldwide

  • Providing high-level technical advice to our global customers

  • Providing technical support in Linus and Microsoft operating systems and applications

  • Providing support documentation, including procedural documentation

  • Support Windows server, network and commuting infrastructure – housekeeping tasks and daily checks

  • Testing/evaluation new technology and infrastructure

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with agreed standard IT solutions and related security practices

  • To continue to develop and enhance our support portal and to drive innovation in the team

Qualifications
Required


  • Applicants must have a degree in IT or equivalent experience

  • Experience using and administering Windows 10

  • Knowledge of Linux

  • Debugging experience

  • Able to manage complex technical situations and customer interaction

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a level 2 or level 3 technical support engineer in Access Control Security Product industry 


Preferred


  • CCNA or equivalent networking qualifications

  • Experience with access control systems 

  • Wireshark

  • Scripting in bash or python

  • Ability to read call stacks in core dump files

  • Experience as a level 2 or level 3 technical support engineer
