Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Dive Operations Manager, assists with daily husbandry dive operations both in and out of water. Including assisting with SeaTREK cage dives by providing safe and guest-oriented shark cage dive experiences. Participates and assists with paid staff and volunteer diver trainings and skill updates.

Essential Functions:
Must maintain and expand upon knowledge base of diving industry standards, diving physiology, equipment, and techniques in order to ensure WOWs compliance with all relevant safety standards
Will be required to correct any diving practice deemed unsafe as described in the WOW Safe Practices Dive Manual
Must be able to establish and maintain an environment conducive to the health and safety of SeaTREK guests
Must be able to participate in and assist with leading diver emergency trainings
Will participate in routine husbandry dive operations within a variety of exhibits using a variety of dive modes
Must be comfortable and able to use appropriate underwater cleaning tools and techniques
Must be comfortable and able to work in enclosed exhibits in close contact with a variety of aquatic animals
Will work closely with volunteer dive team members, and assist with their training and skill updates
Will participate in cleaning, routine maintenance, and testing of all equipment and gear involved with SeaTREK and regular Dive Operations.
Must utilize digital and online record keeping using Microsoft Suite and Dive Program in the Cloud (DPiC)
**Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
**Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime.
**Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights/holidays when necessary/critical to support the organization.
**Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
**Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.
MINIMUM Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to meet all requirements of a Diver 1
Holds at least a Dive Master SCUBA certification from a nationally recognized training agency
Current CPR/1st Aid, AED, and O2 Administration certifications from a nationally recognized training agency
Must be able to pass a diving specific health physical within 90 days of hire
Must be able to pass a Swim Test within 90 days of hire
Must be able to pass a Check-Out Dive within 90 days of hire
Must be able to comfortably lift 80 lbs.
Experience with SCUBA cylinder fill stations/compressors is preferred
Any combination of current technician certifications from PSI/PCI, SCUBAPRO, OTS, etc.
No history of allergies related to animals, plants, and/or materials which may interfere with ability to work

** Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
