Senior Manager, Federal and Business Operations at Park Place Technologies in Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Job Description:

The Senior Federal and Business Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day direction and operational management of the US/LATAM Business Operations Management Team. This position is responsible for ensuring Federal purchasing and operating guidelines are adhered to, per contracted GSA schedules. In addition, this position works closely with cross functional department leaders to develop strategic solutions that are essential to the organization’s continued growth and success.


 


What you’ll be doing:



  • Management of contract vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, Alliant, Seaport, and NIH – CIO CS. Along with all associated tools and/or online portals.

  • Responsible for analysis of Federal Government business requirements, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper requirements specifications.

  • Provide Government/Federal contracting expertise necessary to administer contracts and support sales in the Government vertical growth.

  • Ensure required contract reporting requirements by specified delivery dates for US based Government Accounts.

  • Communicate with External federal contracting officers, and other federal government contracting partners.

  • Serve as change agent by leveraging your knowledge of Sales best practices and institutionalizing business process improvements to further improve sales enablement.

  • Provide leadership in the design, implementation, maintenance and constant improvement of processes, controls, and systems applicable to contract creation, negotiation, archive, and storage.

  • Oversee prioritized strategic programs from conception to execution in a program management/business manager capacity.

  • Work with Director of Business Operations to develop KPI’s that will drive increased departmental and sales performance.

  • Track and leverage data to maintain the Business Operations Management KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).

  • Ensure the development and implementation of process improvements that will allow the organization to achieve aggressive business goals while at the same time meeting employee and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Provide day-to-day direction and operational management to a highly effective team operating in a time sensitive and fast paced environment.

  • Leverage best in class practices to support business practice.

  • Champion new initiatives and acts as a catalyst for change.

  • Resolve complex issues and assist team in the achievement of production and scorecard goals.

  • Ensure performance plans are in place for each department under your control to accurately reflect their responsibilities and performance.

  • Provide ongoing performance and general feedback to direct reports.

  • Provide daily coaching and guidance.

  • Weekly or Bi-Weekly 1-on-1 meetings with each direct report.

  • Address employee time off requests and approve timecards (if applicable) weekly.

  • All other management duties as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 


What we’re looking for:



  • 10+ years’ experience of proven success in a Sales, Sales Support and/or Sales Operations position.

  • 5-7 years’ Sales Leadership experience.

  • Experience in reviewing Federal contracts, purchase order terms and conditions, and service requirements in conjunction with legal department review.

  • Experience with both direct and multilevel sales models to the US Federal Government.

  • Thorough understanding of Federal procurement practices and contract vehicles. (GSA contract vehicles, Schedule70, BPAs, GWACs, OTAs).

  • Exceptional understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems (sales cycle, CRM applications, lead generation, reporting, forecasting, territory management, compensation planning and sales quotas).
