We are looking for a Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for the planning and purchasing of supplies for Supply Stores replenishment.

Responsible for processing all indirect purchasing requisitions.
Works closely with manufacturing and support groups to ensure coordination and prioritization of materials on a daily basis.
Works closely with Maintenance & Engineering sending items out for repair. Maintains the repair program.
Responsible for overseeing and addressing any issues to suppliers in relation to the quality of purchased parts or components.
Works closely with the Supply Stores Attendants to ensure internal customer (Manufacturing) expectations are met.
Works closely with the Senior Buyer & Planner on components, tooling, etc for new program development and launch.
Responsible for consolidating and reducing, the indirect material supply base.
Implements established policies and procedures as they relate to indirect materials and subcontracted services and recommends changes to improve performance levels.
Engages in detailed negotiations of pricing, delivery, and services, as required.
Maintains energetic, complete cost reduction program on all purchasing activities, providing a status report on all cost savings programs and submits it to the Purchasing Manager.
Maintains contact with all markets in which the company obtains materials and keeps the Purchasing Manager fully advised on the market status, trends, availability, and projected performance.
Required Experience EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent education, and or work experience preferred
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years purchasing experience in such areas as procurement indirect material
Experience in Excel, Work and Manufacturing Business Systems
