Your Responsibilities

Supervisory


  • Oversees the entire operation of safety within multiple locations.

  • Unites a positive results-driven team by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Promotes professional development for staff by providing mentorship, education, and reliable growth opportunity paths.

 Safety Development 


  • Creates and executes a comprehensive plan including departmental budget development.

  • This highly collaborative leader will help to build our safety program to become part of the culture at OHM 

  • Cultivates relationships and supports operations leaders to achieve the highest safety standards for each geography and discipline.

  • Develop and maintain safety education and training.

  • Develop Safety Monitoring and Investigation guidelines.

What You Will Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and demonstrate an established career in Safety Development


  • Possess talents or assembles a team with talents in the four domains of leadership strengths to include strategic thinking, executing, influencing, and relationship building.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational or Health Safety or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety-related role, with increasing responsibilities.

  • Must be familiar with health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and policy writing.

  • Must be willing to travel, possibly overnight, to various office locations and job sites

  • Must have or be able to obtain safety-related certifications (i.e., MIOSHA General Industry, OSHA Standards and Workplace Safety, Hazardous Materials Training, FEMA Certifications, First Aid, CPR, AED, Incident Investigation, Crisis Management, etc.).

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certification preferred. 

Experience

  • 10 year(s): Years in occupational health or safety-related field. Familiar with health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and policy writing
