General Ledger Controller (Mid - Senior Level) at Environmental Resources Management Inc in Malvern, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

ERM is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated General Ledger Controller to join our North America Finance team in Malvern, PA (hybrid/remote possibility). As part of the Finance team, the successful candidate will provide functional accounting and reporting support to the NA Finance Controller. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior finance professional to be able to join a well-positioned global environmental leader in an exciting and growing industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership to the GL team.


• Manage month end accounting process.


• Drive process improvements and documentation.


• Participate in annual audit process, including information for tax provision.


• Responsible for NA information requested for yearly insurance policy renewals.


• Manage information needed for corporate tax returns


• Manage all lease accounting.


• Drive compliance with Internal controls.


• Review monthly reporting and workpaper support.


• Manage Bank account and payroll reconciliations.


• Assist with financial analysis as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA/MBA preferred.


• Ten plus years of work experience.


• Technical knowledge of US GAAP. IFRS preferred.


• Proven strong problem solving and business acumen skills


• Goal driven and resourceful; able to meet tight deadlines and produce high quality work.
