This is a remote position in direct support of the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, NH

This position is a remote position; however, you will be required to attend training in person, on-site for approximately 3 weeks. You will also be required to attend various other meeting or come into in the office, as required, by the contract.  Your daily work will be performed by telework.

What You’ll be Doing:


  • Enter data into an automated system using formatting input screens and validate information from applications and related source documents in accordance with guidelines. Source documents include applications, petitions, forms, supplemental documentation, and other documents.

  • You will modify, update, and correct data contained in our automated systems.

  • You will refer cases with discrepancies that might indicate fraud to another unit for review.

  • You will apply your training, experience, and judgment to select the correct procedures to follow when you search for, interpret, select, or code items to be entered.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:


  • One to two years of relevant experience

  • Ability to pass a typing test with at least 85% accuracy

  • Ability to pass a computer skills test with a score of at least 66%

  • Experience in an office/clerical environment is desired

  • Basic computer skills

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Capable of working in a multi-task environment with rapidly changing priorities

  • Excellent command of the English language

  • You must demonstrate a professional work ethic

  • US Citizenship and pass a thorough background and credit check

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance

  • You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19

Base pay is $18.79 per hour, plus $5.92 per hour up to 80 hours per pay period for benefits or extra pay after required benefits elections/deductions.

Days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, two paid 15 min. breaks and 30 min. unpaid lunch.
