SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides support with administrative requirements and industry manning for the Marine Personnel Department.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in preparation of Key Billet Approval submissions, Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker/Letter of Authorization submissions, waiver submissions, training requests, Restriction of Movement (ROM)/COVID funding approval requests & resubmissions, invoicing data/mariner questions, ROM vacation benefit letters, COVID testing (arrangements), vaccination tracking, documentation, mariner data entry (assist in data "clean up" and updating of current COVID procedures, among other administrative tasks.
  • Participate in Crowley's Mariner Engagement team and contribute to Quarterly COVID newsletters to the MSC fleets.
  • Assist in positive mariner engagement to aid in mariner quality of life, retention and Crowley brand.
  • Aid individual Crewing Administrators in timely communication/identification of suitable mariners to fill critical billets not timely filled via job postings, by direct interaction with mariners, unions and vessel Master.
  • Act as a liaison between Crowley, MSC, Union leadership as well as mariners.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners.
  • Prepare clear and concise documents, including but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.
  • Assist Manager and Marine Personnel department with other tasks as appropriate.
  • Depending on skillset/training would be able to handle one "light" vessel crewing coordination

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 2 - 3 years experience in an administrative support function.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
